Are you a natural medium?

I have been to many Mind Body Spirit events and you will see banners with the term “Natural Environment” on a regular basis. This usually leads to a few jokes where people introduce themselves as “Mildred Bloggs, an unnatural medium.” Resulting in lots of laughs, not all of it kind, and a “natural medium” with a face like a battered butt.

So what is a natural environment?

Any human being for whom the ability arises. It is not possible to be a non-natural Medium for the simple reason that the ability is natural. It doesn’t matter if you’ve seen Spirit since you were in diapers or if the ability arose in your later life, it’s all completely natural.

Should everyone work as a medium?

The answer to that is no. If you suffer from any physical illness, the work of mediumship can be very exhausting, so find a very experienced working medium and get some advice.

If you suffer from mental illness, the answer is almost certainly no. Not out of any sense of prejudice, but because mediumship is done with the mind and trying to work with a broken mind is exactly the same as trying to lift with a broken arm. This doesn’t mean not forever, it means not as long as the mental challenges continue. If you are medicated for life then it would be wise to avoid this job altogether. Again, take all the advice you can from other Mediums and More important from the medical profession before even considering trying the job.

The other use of the word ‘natural’ is as gifted, and that’s another cauldron of fish entirely.

There are Mediums who have natural gifts, but I know quite a few of them and they still have challenges within the job. Mediumship work is like any other job, you can have bad days and you just have to get through them. I always say that you’ll know if you’re a real medium if, after your first really bad message, it doesn’t occur to you to give up.

In fact, it’s best not to think in terms of freebies because work is so subjective and the detractors are so many that it’s much better to be the kind of person who does your best, trusts your beliefs, and keeps striving to do what you believe in. . You can post a brilliant message, a mediocre one, and a really bad one, all in the space of 10 minutes and you never know until you’re done how good or bad a message is going to be. You are only as good as the next message.

To train or not to train?

It is a natural ability but you will benefit greatly from good training by other experienced Mediums. Lots of people train in local circles and I’ve seen some great mediums come out of that kind of work, however when you sit in the circle you get to know your companions very well and it won’t be long before you know exactly who they are. have in the Spirit World. As such, I highly recommend doing national training with a large group of strangers, that way you’ll be sure you can get accurate information for someone you’ve never met. Help with confidentiality.

Who’s the best?

All mediums work differently and there is no hit or miss, but if you train with a large organization that has a clear spirit and many tutors, you will be presented with a variety of information for your consideration. You will also benefit from their experience.

scary?

It’s not wonderful at all, but you need support and I would never recommend that you decide that you are a Medium, host a soiree or put up a client ad and just go to work. There is the problem! There are laws, we are subject to them and you need guidance.

Unless, of course, you mess with the naysayers. You will discover that people are much more frightening than spiritual people and you must be prepared to deal with this. It’s fair enough that someone who has never experienced what we have can’t begin to credit it, but some people will be very rude and that can’t be changed.

It’s better not to argue, just say you respect their opinion and get out of there as fast as possible. If you want to change the world, very soon you will exhaust yourself and it is not your place.
