A must read for holistic healing!

If you are a practitioner of holistic healing, or are interested in learning more about it, Ricardo B. Serrano, R. Ac.’s three-book series on the types and techniques of Qi and Qigong culminating with Return to Unity with the Spirit through Pan Gu Shen Gong They’re the ones you’ll want to check out. Each one is fascinating and informative, delving into ancient belief systems and healing techniques such as herbology, meditation, the Tao, yoga, acupuncture, Qi healing, and other Qi Gong practices. I really enjoyed reading the previous two books in the series, Return to Unity with Tao and Meditation and Qigong Masterybut I think this third book is even better than the first two.

In each of the books, the author has used his extensive knowledge of numerous holistic healing practices to analyze what others have previously said about the topics he covers. He has taken the combined knowledge of these many and varied sources and healing practices and compiled his findings with his own commentary and analysis in these books, making them invaluable resources.

Specifically, in this third book, Serrano focuses primarily on Pan Gu Shen Gong, and through his descriptions and black and white photos of himself performing certain techniques, anyone can learn how to use Pan Gu Shen Gong to improve their overall health and level of happiness In addition, Serrano delves into topics such as the EFT Qi-healer Method for effectively clearing and releasing emotional debris trapped in the body, cultivating the Three Treasures of Jing, Qi and Shen, and strengthening self-awareness through the combination of Toltec wisdom. Qigong, Qi-healing, emotional freedom techniques therapy, ear acupuncture and Chinese tonic herbs.

What is Pan Gu Shen Gong, you ask? According to the book, Pan Gu is “the creator of the universe.” Pan Gu Shen Gong is “also called Heaven, Earth, Sun and Moon Qigong”, and “was created by Master Ou Wen Wei”. Another way of expressing what it is would be to say that he is “a simple but effective Qigong to learn how to cure chronic diseases from him”. “Jing Shen” refers to the spirit of man in Chinese. The word “Shen” itself “refers to the thinking capacity of man, which has no restrictions or limits.”

A chapter in the book mentions some of the special features of Pan Gu Shen Qigong. For example, it is easy to learn and understand, practicing it produces immediate results, it only requires 15-20 minutes of daily practice, and anyone of any age or ability can learn it. Qi-healing is “a personal energy treatment offered by a Qigong master.” The Qigong Master emits energy that “works to strengthen the patient’s body, bolstering the immune system to fight disease, and strengthening the Life Force.”

It is not necessary to be a Qigong master or know one to benefit from learning how to do Pan Gu Shen Qigong. Practicing it can help you heal from a variety of eleven categories of illnesses, although it “by no means claims to be 100 percent effective in all cases.” Some of the categories are palpitations, coronary heart disease, hypertension; retinitis, allergic rhinitis, infection of the cervical spine; rheumatic and rheumatoid arthritis; and vertigo and motion sickness.

Return to Unity with the Spirit through Pan Gu Shen Gong is a practical guide to learning and practicing Pan Gu Shen Gong to aid in holistic healing. It is a fascinating compilation of the wisdom and knowledge of the ancients, and demonstrates that modern medicine with all its wonders and wonderful medicines can still learn a lot by acknowledging the knowledge of healing held by people of the past. This book and the entire series are must-reads for anyone interested in holistic healing and how people can benefit by learning to be less dependent on modern doctors and medicines.
