He loves me, he loves me not. Is he inside you?

Whether they met on a date, were old friends from high school, or were introduced by friends, they run into the same problem. How to know if he likes you?

We’ve all had experiences where you think you hit it off and never hear from him again. what did you do wrong You did something wrong? Or was it him? How do you know if he is into you?

I have a friend who tells me that if you’re on a first date and he doesn’t ask you for a follow-up date before you get in your car, he’s not that into you. Do you believe that? If that’s the case, I’ve had quite a few dates who weren’t all that interested in me.

I have a friend who tells me that there are certain topics that are prohibited on a first date; that is, ex, money, sex and diseases. At fifty, there isn’t much else to talk about. I guess that explains, perhaps, why they didn’t make a second date.

Then there’s the person you’ve been texting and chatting with online for weeks. You have a lot in common. So you have that first phone call. They don’t sound like you expect. They are not as resourceful on the phone as they are in chat. You think it might just be you and you agree to that first meeting. Yeah, let’s just say it’s as bad as the phone call. You don’t want them to ask for a second date.

Well, this is the exception… you chat and text with great conversations. You talk on the phone and he’s just as witty and funny as you’d expect. You get together and talk about all the things you’re not supposed to. And guess what? He even asks for a second date. So what is the moral of the story? I have no idea what the winning combo is. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.

Tell me about your experience. How do you know you’ll ask for a second date? What tells you not to do it? What topics are taboo for you on the first date?
