Next-generation 2010 Acura RL based on the Accord Modulo Concept

Acura’s 2010 RL model is a four-door luxury sedan model that is available in three different wheel levels. The vehicle comes with the ability to fit up to five passengers in the vehicle. The introductory model in the RL comes with the standard 3.7-liter V6 engine that produces 300 horsepower of power.

It has a fuel economy of 16 miles per gallon on city streets, while it reaches 22 miles per gallon on highways. The vehicle comes mated with the five-speed automatic transmission along with standard overdrive.

The 2010 Acura RL model is a carryover from the predecessor RL model released in 2009. The three trim levels on the RL model include sedan, technology package and the CMBS/ACC package. The 2010 Acura RL is designed based on the Accord Modulo concept and comes with the additional TSX grille and new headlights. To compete with the other models, the model could come with the new V8 engine in the luxury sedan model. The model comes with the new rear-wheel drive platform.

Standard efficiency and performance features on the vehicle include a 3500cc, 3.5-liter V-6 front longitudinal engine equipped with 90mm, 84mm and 9.6 bore, stroke and compression ratios. Other features of the base RL vehicle include Collision Mitigating Braking System, RL Technology Package equipped navigation, Bose audio system, USB/Bluetooth connectivity, automatic valve adjustment, light alloy cylinder head, overhead camshaft, multi-point injection fuel system.
