PlayStation 2 console (new smaller model)

The new smaller version of the PlayStation 2 game console (shortened to PS2) matches the size of a hardcover book which makes it easier to carry and play anytime, anywhere. The console has a built-in Ethernet port for network games. The volume of the new smaller PS2 model has been reduced by approximately 75%, while its thickness has been reduced to 2.8cm compared to 7.8cm of the previous model. The weight of the unit has also been cut in half.

The renewed internal design of the unit incorporates the power supply to the console itself, thus reducing its weight considerably. The unit is Sony’s second video game console in the PlayStation series. It is a successor to the PlayStation and the predecessor to the PlayStation 3.
