Puerto Rican tour

It’s true, San Juan is the capital of Puerto Rico and, statistically, the largest city in the state, but does it have more to offer? It is tea nightlife center and preeminent hotels in the region? Well, that’s debatable and varies depending on who you ask.

There are other cities in Puerto Rico, most of which are home to their own unique characteristics that attract different streams of tourists throughout the year.

Starting the tour is Rio Grande, a town about 20 minutes west of Fajardo (discussed below) and a short drive southeast of San Juan. Rio Grande is known for combining the buzz and diversity of the capital city with the laid-back attitude of a smaller, more elusive beach town. Luxury resorts with surrounding tropical forests and beaches are precise examples of the fusion.

fajardo It is another large town with natural attractions such as the Bioluminescence Bay, the El Conquistador Hotel and the Cabezas de San Juan Nature Reserve.

humacaom is the largest city in the East of Puerto Rico. Its beaches aren’t all that inviting and it inhabits that classic sleepy beach town lifestyle, but what it does deliver is the area’s largest hotel, Palmas del Mar.

Made up of the Esperanza and Isabel Segunda II neighborhoods, Vieques Island it is the final stop of the tour.

  • Expect It is characterized by the Malicon, which is home to several small restaurants, guest houses, a museum, and two dive shops. The neighborhood is a specifically residential area and there is also an adjacent park just a few blocks away.
